Hello, My name is Heather Johnson. I am the Intervention Specialist for Kindergarten and FIrst grade. I am located in room 205. I have been with Goshen Local Schools for 6 years. My first year I worked at the High School and this is my fifth year at Marr/Cook Elementary. We are lucky to have a special someone support the magic that happen in my room as well as the general education classroom, Melissa Collins.
I began my education right here in Goshen Local Schools as an elementary student many years ago. I graduated from Milford High School. I then continued my education at the University of Cincinnati and earned my Masters in Education from Wright State University.
I have been married to my husband Deron for 20 years. We have 3 beautiful children, Devon 19, Hayden 15 and Hunter 14. For many years, I was afforded the opportunity of being a stay at home mom. I then re-entered the workforce as a preschool teacher. I taught at a private Lutheran school for 5 years. When I became aware that I would be moving from 3 year olds to high school students, I was quite nervous. However, I quickly realized that I simply love teaching and it doesn't matter what the age range is. With that being said I am extremely happy to be back with this age group!
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns that you may have. Because I have students with me all day, it is generally easiest for me to communicate through email at firstname.lastname@example.org. I will do my best to respond to all communication within 24 hours.
I am looking forward to a GREAT year!
